Conflict

Bryan has been suffering in the grief of his sisters death for about two years, no matter how hard he tries he cant muster up the courage to move on, instead he cowardly cuts himself continuously to help him feel at peace. Bryan has come to face many conflicts in his life throughout this journey. Furthermore, he has come to terms with his cowardly ways for example, he met a homeless guy named Chris who is about the same age as him but appears to look like an eighty year old man. Unfortunately Chris is addicted to crystal meth and anything that will give him a high. Additionally, Chris's life was anything but great his father beat him and his mother. His mother became an alcholic and even at times they would drink together but he couldn't handle her crying so he left with nothing but the very clothes on his back. Bryan began to realize that his life was far better off than even he believed it to be, he at least had a family that loved him even though he didn't like to admit it. Throughout the time Bryan's relationship with Chris began to grow, he would visit him on a regular basis to bring him food, to just talk and get to know each other. On the other hand, Bryan had always promised himself to never get attached to someone he always feared of loosing someone that he loved. But, one day Bryan went looking for his friend Chris and he was no where to be found, Bryan instantly felt like someone tore his heart out of his chest. "This is why i don't get close to people they all leave in the end, they all disappear." The sad thing was that Chris admitted himself into the hospital due to withdrawal he began to detox because he felt like life was worth living now that he had a friend.
The whole point behind that situation was that Bryan opened himself up for once and conquered his fear even if it was only for a brief moment, he became courageous instead of being weak and afraid. For once he felt loved and that is something that hadn't been felt in over two years. This was one of very many conflicts that Bryan had learned to face on his own even though he was afraid, the outcome was better than he expected.

Have you ever been put in a situation where you know that there is a right thing to do but you didnt do it and you felt guilty about it? Explain.

  1. Yes there has been a situation when I know I made the wrong decision... I regretted it after and felt really guilty. I knew I should have chosen the other choice I had.

  2. I have been put in situation where I made the wrong decision instead of making the right decision. It was something that I look back at, and wonder why I made that decision because it was the wrong decision that led me down the wrong path. I always know what the right decision is but it is hard to follow through if there is something standing in your way of making that right decision.
